In the run up to Easter we enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a chicken. We began by incubating 7 little brown eggs for 21 days. We counted down the days one by one until eventually we noticed a very small crack appear. It was very exciting and the anticipation was intense! Not long after our eggs began to hatch, one after the other until we had seven healthy, fluffy, yellow chicks.
Of course we then had the job of taking care of the chicks. They needed lots of heat, water and food ...not to forget cleaning out!!
It has been a great experience and opportunity to learn about new life in the lead up to Easter.
