Spring Lambs
28th Mar 2022
We really enjoyed a visit from Nicole and Spud the lamb today! We were all very brave and enjoyed petting spud before having a turn to bottle feed her. She has a really soft and fluffy fleece. We talked and learned how her fleece will grow and next Spring/ Summer time the farmer will shear it off and it might be used to make wool. One child said this would be good for knitting! The boys and girls thought that when Spud grows up and becomes a EWE she might have some little lambs of her own. For now Spud will be looked after by Nicole until she is big enough to go into the field where lambs like to skip and jump and have fun with their friends!
