As it is winter time, this month we were encouraging the birds to come to our garden to feed. We made our very own bird food which we hung up outside and we also kept our bird feeders full so that the birds could come for food and water. We have been keeping an eye on the birds that are coming to our nursery garden.
This weekend it is the The Big Garden Birdwatch weekend. We took part by watching for birds in our nursery garden and play area. We saw sparrows and blackbirds and a few robins to name but a few. We had to be very quiet so we didn't scare the birds away and we had to look carefully through our binoculars to spot all the different types of birds. Then we recorded the birds we saw on our birdwatching sheet.
